Rochester Teen Sentenced After Guilty Murder Plea

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester teenager will serve at least 15 years after an argument between seemingly random strangers led to a murder in 2013. Daniel Williams Junior, 19, was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison after he pleaded guilty to Murder in the death of  Walter Smith Jr., 28.

Police said there was no known relationship between the two when Williams approached Smith in a parked car on Elba Street in August of 2013. An argument followed and Williams fired a sawed off shotgun into the car several times, killing Smith.
