Rochester Man Dead After Shooting on Leo St.

Rochester police are investigating a confirmed homicide  on the city’s north east side.

Multiple calls came in for the report of a man shot on Leo Street just after 12 p.m. Wednesday. Leo Street is blocked off as police continue their investigation.

The Rochester Fire Department arrived to find a man lying in the middle of Leo Street. Police said the man was shot multiple times in his upper body. When firefighters arrived, police said they began to perform CPR.

The victim, who is described as a Rochester city resident in his 30s, was then taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead around 12:40 p.m.

“It’s still early in the investigation, we’re still looking at everything and trying to find leads and witnesses right now,” said Rochester Police Captain Korey Brown.

Police are still searching for the suspect or suspects at this time. They said it’s too early in the investigation to say what they may look like. They’re asking anyone with information to call 911.
