BRIGHTON, N.Y. — Brighton police say they have a man in custody after an officer-involved shooting early Tuesday morning.

In a press conference Tuesday afternoon, police say they were called to a domestic incident around 1 a.m. in Webster. Webster police say they were able to track the suspect to Greystone Lane in Brighton.

A Brighton police officer who responded was outside his vehicle when they say the suspects vehicle drove straight at him. That’s when the officer fired two shots in the direction of the suspect, however neither the suspect or suspect vehicle was hit.

The man was taken into custody and identified as Tyler Keyes, 21. Keyes is charged with attempted aggravated assault of a police officer. He’s expected to be arraigned in Webster where he may face additional charges.
