DEPEW, N.Y. — Former President Bill Clinton will be in Western New York on Tuesday afternoon, supporting his wife’s campaign for the White House.

The former President will be at the Grapevine Restaurant in Depew where he will be stopping this afternoon. The pair will be in the Buffalo area this week.

Lots of political action is happening across New York State ahead of our April 19 primary. Hillary Clinton was in Albany last night.

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows:

  • Clinton and Republican Donald Trump with double digit leads in New York.
  • Clinton leads Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders 54-percent to 42-percent.
  • Trump leads his closest competitor, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, 56-percent to 20-percent.

None of the front runners are resting on their laurels here in the Empire State and for the first time in a long-time, New York’s late primary is still a key one in the final outcome.

“I think it is a great thing for having Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton coming in in the same week. I think it stimulates interest in a turnout that’s already pretty exciting. New York State has not been relevant for a long time during the primary season of the presidential races it must go back maybe 20 years. This year. Neither side’s contest is decided before they get to New York,” said Len Lenihan, Erie County Democratic Elections Commissioner.

Hillary Clinton is expected to be in the area on Friday.

Doors open at 1:45 p.m. for the event here and Time Warner Cable News will be there to bring full coverage of the event.
