FAIRPORT, N.Y. — The Fairport Central School District has released the findings of water testing it conducted at district buildings. A total of 450 samples were taken to determine lead levels at all of the school district buildings.

A few fixtures at four schools tested higher than 15 parts-per-billion for lead. As a precaution, the district immediately turned off all of the fixtures and drinking fountains. They are working with consultants from Envoy Environmental to determine the next step that could include replacing the fixtures.

The district is staill awaiting test results from fixtures at the high school, Perrin, Dudley and Northside schools.
