The Brighton man facing child pornography charges was sentenced to a lengthy prison time Thursday.

A district judge gave Joseph Lamica, 26, 14 years in prison and 40 months supervised release. One couple he babysat for discovered he engaged in inappropriate behavior with their 9-year-old son, and ended the contract.

Federal prosecutors say Lamica was then banned from Churchville-Chili after trying to make contact with the boy there. He is already serving time for calling the district in March of 2015 and threatened to “slit throats.”

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies say Lamica also called and threatened the Rush-Henrietta school district on the same day.
