GATES, N.Y. — Police in Gates said a man who lives on Shadywood Drive was using social media to display both marijuana for sale and how much it cost, and made that discovery because someone who lives at the house reported to police that they were robbed.

Police said on March 14, the residents of the Shadywood Drive home reported a robbery, but officers then learned there was drug activity going on inside. Police then took note of the drugs advertised on social media, and an undercover officer then bought marijuana from Brunson on three successive attempts at three different locations.

On March 31, both Reginald Brunson, 23, and Tiffany Gardner, 29, were arrested, facing charges ranging from criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance, to unlawful possession of a weapon.
