Buffalo added offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson back to the active roster a week after he completed his five-game league-imposed suspension.
The Bills added OT Seantrel Henderson to the 53-man roster on Monday. The team had a one-week roster exemption after Henderson had completed the remaining five games of his 10-game suspension that stemmed back to last season. They had until 4 pm Monday to make the move.
Henderson, who has been working diligently on the side with the strength and conditioning staff the past five weeks, was glad to be back practicing with his teammates.
“It felt good to be back,” he said. “It’s been a long time coming.”
While it was difficult for him to watch the first five games while serving his suspension, Henderson explains how he stay focused to ensure he’d be ready for his return in Week 7.
“I really have just been staying around my teammates, coming in every day, working out, conditioning, going to meetings,” he said. “Pretty much doing everything they do except playing the game. I feel that’s really kept me focused for this time.”
Henderson believes he’s up to speed with the offensive scheme, but knows he’ll be a bit rusty with the technical part of his game until he gets steady reps in practice.
“My conditioning is there. I’ve been going at it like every day. No days off really, so I know conditioning-wise I’m good,” Henderson said. “As far as techniques and things like that, that’s what I need to get back. The speed and just working at my craft so I can get out there and play.”
