ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Law enforcement leaders across Monroe County are sending a strong message to drug dealers with some new billboards going up around the county.

The message is clear, reading: “We’ve had enough … if you deal drugs and someone dies, you’re going to prison for homicide.”

Rochester businessman Gary Rogers paid for the first billboard located on Vincent near State Street in the city. One of his employees son’s died of a drug overdose. He was 30 years old.

There are homicide and manslaughter cases against drug dealers in Monroe County right now that authorities say are connected to fatal drugs overdoses.

A second billboard is going up on I-390 near Lexington Ave.
